Here at Mar Vista Cheap Mobile Notary, we have a few that we would like you to keep in mind regarding pricing and appointments.
1. We require you to book an appointment. We are not a walk-in business, and you will not be serviced if you show up to our address without booking an appointment.
2. We are now a primarily mobile-only notary service. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, we will exclusively travel to you. This means that we charge a travel fee in addition to the California state fee of $15 per notarized signature.
3. We charge $2 per minute for every minute that a notary has to wait at the beginning of an appointment, with a 15-minute grace period.
4. In the event that a notary shows up to an appointment, and the appointment is then cancelled, we will require payment for the travel fee. If a subsequent appointment is scheduled at a later date, we will include the cost of the previous travel unless it was paid during the last appointment.
5. Our service hours are from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays excluding major holidays. While we are open 24-hours, our competitive rates are only available during these service hours. Outside of our normal service hours, our travel fees at least double, and increase significantly later in the night and earlier in the morning.
6. Our travel fees for notary are increased for visits to healthcare facilities and correctional facilities. This is due to the risk that the notary public is taking in these environments. While the additional fee varies based on your specific situation, a good rule of thumb is that a visit to a healthcare facility will incur twice the normal travel fee, and a visit to a correctional facility will incur five times the normal travel fee. Healthcare facilities include hospitals, clinics, convalescent homes, and skilled nursing facilities.
7. Travel fees for notary in any situation are highly variable depending primarily on time of day and location, with our minimum travel fee typically being $30. Our rates are higher during peak traffic hours and lower with low traffic. We are very flexible given your needs. In some situations, we may even waive the travel fee depending on the number of signatures, or reduce the per-signature cost. Please give us a call to get an exact quote.
8. Apostille services are $360 for 1 document and $50 for each additional document, as long as you are within a 10-mile radius of Mar Vista, California. Give us a call to get an exact quote if you are further away. Same-day apostille services are available, however, we can not always guarantee this. Give us a call to get an exact time-frame.
