Hotel Notary in Los Angeles: We Come to Your Hotel
In town for a few days with documents to sign? We meet you in your hotel lobby, business center or room, anywhere in Los Angeles, including late at night and before early flights.
Home Notary Public Hotel Notary
Quick answer
Yes. We come to hotels anywhere in Los Angeles County, 24/7 by appointment: the LAX hotels on Century Boulevard, Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Century City, West Hollywood, Downtown and beyond. We meet you in the lobby, a business center or meeting room, or your room. Each signer needs acceptable ID; a foreign passport works if it has a photo, a physical description, a signature and an ID number. Most hotels don’t have a notary on staff, so this is usually the fastest option.

Where we meet hotel guests
- LAX hotels along Century Boulevard and Sepulveda, about 15 minutes from our base
- Marina del Rey and Santa Monica beach hotels
- Beverly Hills, Century City and West Hollywood
- Downtown LA, Hollywood and Burbank near the airport
The lobby is fine for most signings. If the documents are private, ask the front desk for a meeting room or have us come up to your room.
What travelers usually need notarized
- Documents for a closing or sale back home. A California notary can complete another state’s acknowledgment form (see out-of-state documents).
- Powers of attorney, so someone at home can act while you’re away
- Travel consent letters and passport consent forms (DS-3053) for children
- Documents for use in your home country, which usually need an apostille after notarization
- Business documents for a deal signed during a trip (business signings)
ID for visitors from abroad
California accepts a passport issued by a foreign government, as long as it’s current or issued within five years and contains a photograph, a physical description, the bearer’s signature and an identifying number (Civil Code § 1185). Some passports lack a physical description or signature; if yours does, bring a second ID. A foreign driver’s license isn’t acceptable, except one from Mexico or Canada. See acceptable ID.
The document can be in any language, but we must be able to communicate with you directly, without an interpreter. Tell us your language when you book.
Before we arrive
- Print the documents. Most hotel business centers can print; we can’t print for you.
- Fill in every blank, but don’t sign anything that needs a jurat until we’re there.
- Tell us the hotel, your name on the reservation, and whether to meet in the lobby or come to your room.
- If you have a flight, book with time to spare. We’re available early mornings for travelers.
Common questions
Does my hotel have a notary?
Usually not. A few business centers can arrange one, but it’s often faster to book a mobile notary directly.
Can you come at 5 AM before my flight?
Yes. We’re available 24/7 by appointment. After-hours travel fees apply; see the 24-hour notary page.
Can you notarize a document in Spanish, Japanese or another language?
Yes, if we can communicate with you directly. The notarial certificate is completed in English.
How much does a hotel visit cost?
The notarization is up to $15 per signature by law, plus our travel fee, which depends on the hotel’s location and the time of day. We quote the total before booking. See notary fees.

“He went above and beyond for me. I had a tight deadline, and he stayed late to make sure everything got done. That extra effort meant so much truly special service you don’t find every day”
